Quick setup instructions for OpenWebRX on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS

This is an absolute quick guide to install OpenWebRX, an SDR receiver software with a web UI. If you need more information or have a problem, please look at the GitHub page of the project.

Hi, trying your setup instruction, but on row 21 get error message, git wants any username and password and I am not able to solve it. Any ideas? Thanks a lot, 329CZE001 :-)

Hi Jan,

It's strange as no authentication is required to access public repos on GitHub.

Hui I can listen locally to my receiver but do not see my self listed on the publix site (registered).
Do I have to set up mu router for port forwarding or put some IP info in the setup file?

Hi Jeff,

Most cases the problem is with the server_hostname in config_webrx.py.
You should enter your public IP address or DNS address, maybe your dynamic DNS address if you have a server at home.

If the problem persists, you should check for errors in OpenWebRX console output starting with [openwebrx-sdrhu].

it is possible to put the squelch?

Yeah, I know that's missing...
Will not be complicated to add, I just need more time.

I seem to only have a blank page when i got to localhost:8073. I'm not sure it's working at all even tough there are sensible messages coming from the console. using Lubuntu on an atom netbook.

If I try and send it through to my no-ip host then I get either a timeout or empty reply from server. any suggestions?

I have this error :
2016-02-08 12:04:18,456 ERROR with rtl_tcp host connection: [Errno 111] Connection refused
